Pool Table Moving
Quoted around the stairs, not the mileage.
Teardown runs in a fixed sequence and the build runs it backwards: cloth, pockets, rails, bed sections, frame, legs, each piece wrapped as it leaves. Slate rides upright and strapped, rails ride padded, because rails are what pick up marks on a hurried load.
Going down is not the easy direction people assume. Gravity is working against control rather than against effort, so a bed section headed for a basement moves slower than one headed upstairs, with a hand on it from below the whole way.
What sets the price
The stair down to the basement moves the number more than the drive between the two houses.
- Three-section bed or single slab, because the landing turn will allow one and refuse the other.
- Both routes: flights, turns, landing size, the door at the foot of the stairs, and the walk out to the truck.
- Whether the basement has a walkout door, which can turn a hard job into a simple one.
- One visit or two, as re-flooring or a spell in storage requires.
- Whether cloth goes on while the table is already stripped, cheaper than a return trip.
One picture of the table and one taken from the top of the basement stairs will sharpen the number more than any description.
What finished looks like
We here at Kansas City Pool Table Movers guarantee all of our work. If you use our services and feel that we did something incorrectly, or that your table is becoming unlevel, we will come back out to fix the issue. This is good for six months after your service is completed.
Our normal appointment times are at 8 or 9 am and 1 or 2 pm. There is an additional $30 fee for any job that starts after 5 pm, on a Saturday, or on a Sunday. There is an additional cost of $30 if we need to carry the table up stairs on an installation. On a home to home move we do not charge extra for stairs on a three piece slate table, and we will not move one piece slate tables up or down stairs.
